Our Impact 2022
Carnival for Care Kits
July 29, 2022
All proceeds from this carnival were donated to Medical Students Association's Care Kit Initiative where care kits would be assembled for patients with neurodegenerative, cognitive, and respiratory diseases. During this carnival, we had multiple booths and activities to spark creativity and community among our community youth. We were able to fundraise over $1.2K from this event to serve 100+ patients.
Total Personality Development Session
August 4, 2022
Part of the Vedic Samaj Youth team attended the Total Personality Development Session given by Ashish Acharyaji. The session started with a great team-building activity that made the youth think about how to collaborate and strategize to achieve one goal, utilizing team work. This was followed by great Vedic insight on personality development.

Cancer Diagnostic Method Session
August 20, 2022
Our cancer diagnostic session covered the fundamentals of serology, the growth of cancer cells in research labs, and the use of these cancer cells in diagnostic research. Our guest speaker, Dr. Jeet Sethi PhD, spent an hour explaining these topics, educating up to 30 people!

America's Grow-A-Row Volunteering Session
August 29, 2022
Our Vedic Samaj Youth Team volunteered at Pittstown, NJ at the Grow-A-Row farm. In total, along with help from other teams, we harvested 11,580 lbs of zucchini and 1,125 lbs of cucumbers! This equates to 51,000 servings to help those struggling with food insecurity in New Jersey.
Senior Social
September 17, 2022
Vedic Samaj Youth hosted a Senior Social for Senior Citizens with various musical games, bingo, etc. We donated $650 to Save the Children, who will use that money to help children around the world who are hungry, homeless, and sick.
Liberty Ridge Social
September 18, 2022
Vedic Samaj Youth sponsored the Liberty Ridge Social event with activities and games for the kids to enjoy. It was an amazing opportunity to interact with the children in our community and market our cause.
Card-Making for Veterans
November 6, 2022
Vedic Samaj Youth gathered to create cards for the veterans to honor them for their service to our country. This veterans day, VSY donated 75 cards!
College Admissions Panel
November 20, 2022
The Vedic Samaj Youth Group organized a college admissions panel for high school students! This panel included panelists: Aman Singh, computer science major from University of Illinois-Urbana Champaign; Nikalya Karda-Marok, political science and pre-law student from University of Michigan; and Vanshika Bhatia, biology and psychology pre-med student at Rutgers University. This panel impacted over 50 students in our community.
Holiday Goody Bags for Hospital Patients
December 4, 2022
The Vedic Samaj Youth Group created goody bags for the holidays! These goody bags included cards, christmas toys, ornaments, stickers, and more! In total, the VSY team assembled 50 bags and sent them to the Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.
Vedic Samaj NJ Holiday Gala
December 10, 2022
Vedic Samaj NJ hosted a Gala Fundraiser in the winter, which gave Vedic Samaj Youth the chance to present our yearly recap to the community and even meet with the mayor of Warren.
